IT Apprentice shortlisted for Microsoft Scottish award
We’re delighted to announce Greg Jennings, our IT Service Desk Apprentice Analyst, has been shortlisted for the Scottish Modern MA of the Year award 2016 by Microsoft.
Greg joined us in July 2015 and since then has been part of the team who are the first point of contact for the University community for any IT-related issues and requests.
Over the last year Greg worked with the Service Desk team and provided excellent first line technical support and guidance on a wide range of IT issues; from networking to desktop support, always keeping himself up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
It’s worth mentioning Greg completed his whole year QA coursework within the first six months of his apprenticeship! He’s now moved to the second year of his contract and we’re already discussing next steps in his career.
The winners will be revealed at a reception in Microsoft Edinburgh on 11 August 2016 and we wish him all the best of luck!
