Monday 7 November 2016

Steve Watt, our Chief Information Officer, is listed in Holyrood Connect’s ‘Tech 100’ for the fourth year in a row.

The Tech 100 profiles the key figures driving the digital agenda in Scotland. Steve plays a key and influential role in both the education and ICT sectors, representing education in two Scottish Government Boards. As CIO, he is responsible for the strategic development of all IT provision, information assurance and governance and business transformation activities. He is a member of the Board of Governors of Dundee & Angus College and has recently completed his 3-year tenure as Chair of the Higher Education IT Directors in Scotland.

This is well-deserved achievement for Steve who has been leading on the University’s transformation plan working through an ambitious framework to support the business change and to enhance the core mission of excellence in research and teaching in St Andrews.
