You can now access University applications on your own device!

Friday 3 February 2017

At the beginning of semester one, we made Apps Anywhere available – a new service that allows students and staff to access software applications from University PCs in the libraries and computer classrooms. In the past, specialist software applications were only available if you requested them via the IT Service Desk, or on certain classroom PCs.

We have now expanded the capability of this service by allowing access to certain applications on personal devices, where the licence permits.

Welcome to our new serviceWith the new feature, students can use University software for free from anywhere in the world, provided they have an internet connection. Similarly, staff can use and test applications that are available in classrooms via an online portal, without the need to install them on their device.

We hope this new service provides you with additional flexibility to carry out your studies and do your work. If you have any queries, comments or feedback about the service, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
