Introducing Pistachio our new cyber security platform
IT Services are rolling out Pistachio, our new cyber security training platform to improve how we handle phishing reports and improve user awareness of online cyber threats.
New phishing reporting button: look for the purple circle with black dots
We are launching a new reporting tool that makes it easier for users to report suspicious emails directly from your inbox. Simply click on the purple button to report a phishing email.
Once you click the button, you’ll immediately know if the email is part of a phishing simulation. If it’s a simulation, no further action is required on your part. If the email is not a simulation, a copy will automatically be forwarded to the Cyber Security and Resilience team for investigation.
Personalised phishing simulations with Pistachio
You will receive emails from time to time that will look genuine, but they’re not – these will come from the new training platform and it is your job to spot them! The email attack simulations will be designed around things like your role, your location, and the software you use, making them trickier to identify.
Don’t worry if you didn’t spot one… the user-friendly approach will help you understand what to look out for in future by providing immediate feedback.
Pistachio training
Pistachio Training ([email protected]) will also send targeted cyber security training emails. They will ask quick, one-off questions to test your knowledge. This approach allows you to maximise your learning while minimising time and effort. See examples below.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected].
