The future of productivity sessions

Since September, Mark Cathro, our new Business Productivity Liaison Officer has been running sessions about Office 365 tools across the University. If you’ve requested or attended one of these, it usually takes the format of a short presentation followed by questions and a discussion.

Live online sessions

In the coming months, IT Services will move to Walter Bower House, shortly followed by our colleagues across Professional Service Units. We’d like to take this as an opportunity to deliver more remote sessions to groups – starting with next week’s Intro to Office 365 productivity tools session.

There are countless benefits to online meetings or broadcasts: better use of space, no need to commute, and you can dip in and out with ease. Our top five reasons to try online meetings are outlined in an earlier blog post.

We’ve even received feedback from staff members that couldn’t attend workshops because they worked from home a few days a week. It’s time to include everyone!

How to join next week’s meeting remotely

Instead of walking to School II, you stay at your desk with headphones and click the link below. We’ll enable Q and A for a discussion at the end.

1pm – 2pm, Wednesday 5th February

If you’ve signed up for our newsletter, we’ll send you a reminder beforehand with the link. We’ll also make it available in the Office 365 user community.
